First thing for sure, with all the research on CBD, no-one is going out on a limb and committing to claims of the benefits of this drug. When listing the benefits from research, it does seem to start with Could, May, Can… Our research at KCH using CBD oil in our face oil has proven in our eyes to be positive with a noticeable benefit.
CBD oil is very rich in phyto-canabinoids (for mental health) terpenes (physiological affects of the aroma of terpenes) flavonoids (anti-oxidant) and amino acids along with other compounds of cannabis sativa. This new ‘wonder drug’ is still very much under scrutiny from medical experts, yet growing in popularity every day. So although the use of CBD has been given the go-ahead, some experts are not convinced.
However, some research has shown CBD can relieve pain, could reduce anxiety and depression, can alleviate cancer-related symptoms, reduce acne, can benefit heart health, can help with diabetes prevention and can help slow down the growth of cancer cells. These are just some of the claimed benefits.
CBD can also successfully being used topically to relieve psoriasis, eczema, acne and many other skin conditions. As an anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory, CBD oil can calm, nourish and heal skin conditions. It can help with the prevention of the skin becoming dry and encourages cellular renewal, aiding skin to repair more quickly. CBD oil also helps to eliminate free radicals which can stop rogue cells attacking healthy cells therefore slowing down the development of wrinkles and fine lines and helping to achieve a brighter, healthier looking skin tone.
So the jury may still be out on CBD, but at KCH we are happy with the results. Hemp seed oil features heavily in some of our products as hemp’s ability to mimic our natural skin can have amazing results on the skin’s appearance. Therefore CBD seems to us the natural progressive step in improving our products. But, do the research yourself. There are plenty of statistics, documents and articles on CBD.
