Until I experimented with home use derma rollers, I was sceptical. As we offer injectable treatments at the salon, I kind of thought the micro-needling for home use would not be that effective. And, they are not as effective as salon equipment and treatments. However, I was impressed by the difference the one I used did make. So I concluded that good quality derma rollers used with the correct needle length and used the correct amount of times does have benefits to the skin.
In brief, the job of the dermal roller is to stimulate blood supply by causing a slight controlled trauma to the area. When the blood is stimulated so is collagen. Used regularly the rollers can help to reduce scarring, signs of ageing and give the skin a glowing more toned appearance. It is very important to ensure the correct needle size is used and the roller is not overused. Also, that the roller is of good quality and the tiny needles are secure.
Used with an oil, I found the effects better. The tiny puncture wounds allow the oil to penetrate slightly deeper than it can on its own.
So a fantastic night time routine would be: Cleanse, gentle exfoliation, tone, apply KCH face oil, dermarollers for 3-4 minutes, then moisturise. Voila! wait and see your glowing skin in the morning!
Check out our shop section to purchase the derma rollers we use on our skin, only £12.99. Only £9.99 when bought with one of our face oils.
